Beth met Sean while she attended Bell State University in 1986. The couple got married and they have two beautiful children together: Meghan, born in 1996, and Connor, born in 1999.
Beth is also the co-founder of Payton’s Play It Forward Foundation. This nonprofit organization was founded in 2008. The couple gave credit to their friend Karen Hegner for getting them into starting their own foundation.
In June 2012, the couple decided to end their relationship after 20 years of marriage. Beth filed for a divorce on June 14 citing conflict of personalities between petitioner and respondent. While irreconcilable differences may appear to be the root cause of their separation, media suggested that Sean had an affair before his ex-wife decided to end the marriage.
